Welcome to the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestras as we celebrate our 35th year of great music making. Drawing our members from as far as Raleigh, Charlotte, Southern Pines, Fayetteville, Burlington, Danville, VA, and Mountain City, TN, as well as right here in the Triad, the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra is an honors orchestra of the most talented young people in our State and beyond.

Made up of four ensembles totalling nearly 200 members, our organization nurtures students at all stages of musical development. Our flagship ensemble, the Youth Orchestra, has performed at both Avery Fisher Hall in New York City and at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.

Auditions for the 2007-2008 season will be held September 2007. We will begin assigning times on August 1. To be added to our audition mailing list, please fill out our audition form. We will send you more specific information.

Weekly rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons during the school year at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Music. Concerts are held at outstanding performance venues throughout the city of Greensboro.
