Private Lesson Scholarship Application

The Friends of the GSYO awards private music lesson scholarships to returning members of the youth orchestras.  These $150 awards are determined by the Music Directors and are based on dedication to the orchestra and musical excellence.

Awards are paid directly to the member’s private music lesson teacher, who may not be a family member.  Recipients are expected to audition for the GSYO/GSYS the following year unless they are seniors.  The scholarship must be used for lessons on the instrument the student plays in the orchestra.  Winners will be announced at the Fall Concert, and awards must be claimed by January 15, 2007. 

Students are considered for Friends of the GSYO private lesson scholarships only if this form is submitted.
